Le Pot Melon The Heirloom Melon Creamer

$140.00

Found in Holland, this mid-century American silver-plated creamer was made by Oneida as part of its Heirloom Meloncollection.

Its wonderfully rounded, fluted body takes the traditional melon form, raised on ornate little feet with a sweeping handle and graceful spout. The worn marks beneath the vessel read HEIRLOOM / MELON / EP, the latter indicating electroplate.

Made by an American company with roots in Sherrill, New York, in the Mohawk Valley, it somehow made its way across the Atlantic before we found it in Holland. Now filled with wax and a single wick, it begins another life in candlelight.
